THE 6 STATIONS TOURNAMENT REVEALS THE COMPOSITION OF ITS TEAMS
The » Tournoi des 6 Stations » returns for a 5th edition which will be played from 13 to 19 February 2017. The kick-off given at the press conference on Thursday 5 January unveiled the teams composed of former professional and amateur rugby players.
The 2017 Tournament welcomes new faces, including Imanol Harinordoquy, Damien Traille, Dimitri Yachvili, 3 stars of the XV of France, several world champions including the British Mike Tindall and Simon Shaw, who join the internationals of the Tournament des 6 Stations.
The historic stations and their headliners, Serge Betsen for Val Thorens, Dimitri Yachvili for Les Menuires, Rémy Martin for Valmorel and Mike Tindall for La Clusaz include two new ones, Les Contamines-Montjoie led by Damien Traille, a great asset for the team of « Mont-Blanc côté joie », and Châtel, who will host the final, under the baton of Christophe Dominici, determined to take his revenge in 2017!
As its name implies, the « Tournoi des 6 Stations » (6 Stations Tournament) brings together 6 teams of rugby 7s, who compete on a field of snow with plenty of sport, performance, humor, conviviality and sharing.
Among the innovations, Marc de Laparre de Saint Sernin, pastor of Saint Tropez and recent ex-Toulouse player of the TOEC, will deliver the good word and lead the amateur players. The final will be played at the top of the slopes of the resort of Chatel, at the top of the « Portes du Soleil ».
