90 years after paid leave, VVF still defends the right to a holiday
Ninety years after France's 1936 paid-leave law, going on holiday is still a luxury for part of the population. VVF, a certified social-utility enterprise (ESUS), has made this its mission: allowing everyone to get away without financial strain. RevolutionR, tourism PR agency, works with VVF to carry that message to the media.
Solidarity tourism, with the figures to back it
The non-profit applies pricing adjusted to household income (the French "quotient familial") to support the most constrained families directly. In 2024, more than 9,200 people benefited from these targeted discounts of up to 10%. Through partnerships with VACAF and ANCV, the budget devoted to subsidised stays exceeded €4.8 million. Holidaymakers gain access to 92 destinations, by the sea, in the mountains and in the countryside, while keeping their overall budget under control.
The faces behind the non-profit model
Director of the VVF village in Brusque (Aveyron) since 2024, Frédérique Parrinello first discovered the site as a guest. Hired at the front desk in 2010, she moved through several roles in the village before taking over its management. Committed to VVF's non-profit model, she champions collective, hands-on leadership; her husband and three children now work alongside her. A profile available to newsrooms.
Why it is a story for 2026
The anniversary of paid leave, pressure on purchasing power and the debate on "affordable" holidays make social tourism a strong news angle for business, society and regional media. Day after day, VVF proves that solidarity tourism offers a real breath of freedom.
About RevolutionR RevolutionR supports VVF in media relations and content: angles, data, portraits of village directors and field access for journalists. A shared conviction: the best communication is the kind that doesn't need to look like advertising.
